1. Overview & Scope
PlanMate is built by Adhfar Labs and operated by Zeenat Rashid. This Privacy Policy describes how PlanMate (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information about you when you access our mobile applications, website (https://planmate.interviewsphere.online), and related community services (collectively, the “Services”).
PlanMate is built to turn online discovery into genuine real-world meetups. Because our platform is rooted in real activities—such as coffee meetups, hiking, sports, and social dining—we collect only the information necessary to coordinate plans, ensure platform safety, and facilitate authentic connections.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on your usage of our Services, we collect the following categories of information:
A. Account & Profile Information
When you register and complete onboarding, you provide your email address, full name, date of birth, city, selected interest tags (e.g. coffee, hiking, outdoors), bio description, and profile avatar. Your date of birth is collected strictly to verify our minimum age requirement (18+) and is not displayed on your public profile preview.
B. Activity & Plan Data
When you create or join an activity, we store the activity title, description, category, meeting location name, city, scheduled start and end times, participant limits, and cover media thumbnails.
C. Communication & Messages
When you participate in activity group chats or coordinate with fellow participants, we process the messages and media sent through our chat service to deliver them in real time to authorized channel members.
D. Safety Reports & Moderation Data
If you submit a safety report regarding a user, activity, story, or message, we collect the selected reason (e.g. harassment, spam, scam, inappropriate content), optional context you provide, and timestamp. We also maintain your list of blocked users.
E. Technical & Notification Data
We collect device identifiers, operating system version, and push notification tokens (via Expo Notifications) to deliver critical plan updates, activity confirmations, and chat messages.
2A. Payments and Transaction Information
PlanMate may use supported third-party payment processors for paid bookings. These providers may process payment and other information necessary to complete a transaction under their own applicable privacy terms. Review the payment provider's privacy terms when using its services.
PlanMate may receive transaction-related metadata such as payment status, transaction/order references, amount, refund status, and other information necessary for booking, support, and accounting. We use this information for booking confirmation, refunds, fraud prevention, customer support, accounting, and legal or compliance purposes where applicable.
Payment credentials are handled through the payment provider's payment flow. Transaction metadata described here is distinct from raw card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or banking passwords. Do not include those credentials in messages to PlanMate Support.
3. Location Information
PlanMate operates around local, real-world experiences. With your device permission:
- Approximate Location (Coarse): Used to show popular activities, groups, and categories in your city or surrounding area.
- Precise Location (Fine): Used when you create an activity with a specific meeting venue or browse map views of nearby plans.
Privacy Note: Your live, precise personal GPS coordinates are never publicly broadcast to other users. Public web previews display only the host-chosen location name (e.g. “Blue Bottle Cafe, Central Park”) and designated city.
4. How We Use Information
We process your data for legitimate service purposes:
- To create and manage your PlanMate account and verify age eligibility (18+).
- To enable you to discover, organize, publish, and join activities.
- To facilitate group communications and event coordination.
- To deliver push notifications regarding your plans and chat messages.
- To detect, investigate, and mitigate safety concerns, spam, abuse, and prohibited conduct.
- To maintain platform reliability, debug technical issues, and improve recommendation feeds.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal profile data, subject to legitimate legal, security, and dispute resolution obligations.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have control over your data:
- Profile Management: You can edit your bio, interests, city, and avatar at any time in app settings.
- Notifications: You can toggle push and email notifications directly in app settings.
- Location Access: You can revoke location permissions at any time via your device operating system settings.
- Blocking & Reporting: You can block any member or report suspicious content to immediately prevent interaction.
8. Account Deletion

9. Children & Minimum Age Policy
PlanMate is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. Our onboarding process requires verification of date of birth and rejects registration for any individual under 18. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or solicit personal data from children or minors under 18. If we become aware that an individual under 18 has registered, we will promptly terminate the account and delete associated records. 10. Data Security
We employ industry-standard technical measures—including TLS transport encryption, database row-level security (RLS) policies, and segregated authentication tokens—to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
11. International Transfers
Our cloud infrastructure and third-party service providers are hosted in secure data center facilities. By using PlanMate, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in facilities located outside your home state or country.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product enhancements, legal updates, or changes in our data practices. When updates are published, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
