Child Safety & Minor Protection

1. Strict 18+ Adult-Only Age Policy

Minors under 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from creating an account, hosting activities, attending meetups, or participating in PlanMate chat channels.

2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

PlanMate maintains an absolute, uncompromising zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE):

• The production, distribution, sharing, transmission, or solicitation of CSAM or CSAE on any surface of our platform is strictly prohibited.
• Any account associated with the possession, upload, or sharing of child exploitation material is immediately and permanently terminated.
• All offending media is securely quarantined and preserved solely for reporting to competent law enforcement agencies and child protection organizations.

3. Grooming & Exploitation Prohibition

We strictly prohibit any predatory conduct, including attempts to contact, groom, manipulate, or exploit minors. Any behavior indicative of predatory grooming—whether online or attempted during real-world meetups—results in immediate account banning, IP and device blocking, and criminal referral.

4. Reporting Underage Accounts or Safety Threats

If you believe a user on PlanMate is under the age of 18, or if you suspect any child safety threat, please report it immediately:

• In-App Report: Open the user's profile, tap (⋯), select “Report”, and choose “Sexual or Inappropriate Content” or “Other” with the detail “Underage user”.
• Emergency Email: Send a priority alert to planmate@proton.me.

Our safety team treats child safety and minor protection reports with highest urgency and investigates them promptly.

5. Mandatory Law Enforcement Escalation

In full accordance with applicable national and international child protection legislation, PlanMate cooperates with law enforcement authorities and reports confirmed incidents of child sexual abuse material or exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant local policing bodies.

6. Information for Parents & Guardians

Because PlanMate is strictly for adults (18+) coordinating in-person community activities, parents and guardians should ensure minors in their household do not download or attempt to register for the app.

If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your minor child has falsified their birth date to access PlanMate, please contact us immediately at planmate@proton.me with their registered email or phone number. We will promptly delete the account and purge their data.
