1. Overview & Commitment

This Data Safety document provides an itemized breakdown of the personal data processed by PlanMate, in strict alignment with the Google Play Store Data Safety standards and mobile consumer protection laws.

Our guiding philosophy is data minimization: we only process data that is functionally necessary to coordinate real-life plans, maintain an active and respectful community, and verify age eligibility.

3. Security & Encryption Standards

  • Data in Transit: All data transmitted between the PlanMate mobile client, web browser, and backend servers is encrypted using modern TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols.
  • Data at Rest: Core databases and media storage buckets utilize industry-standard AES-256 encryption at rest.
  • Access Control: Database access is strictly partitioned through Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring users can only read and write data they are authorized to access.

We do not sell user data to data brokers. Third-party data sharing is restricted exclusively to infrastructure and service delivery partners:

  • Database & Auth: Supabase Inc. (cloud infrastructure).
  • Maps & Geocoding: Google Maps Platform.
  • Push Delivery: Expo / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
  • Advertising: Google AdMob SDK.
